Help - Laptop Blue Screen problem

I was just wondering if someone could help me with a problem which is really starting to frustrate me now.

My laptop seems to get the Blue Screen - It doesn't happen every day but sometimes it can happen twice or more during one time. I can be in the middle of something then all of a sudden the blue screen flashes up with lots of writing on and then re-starts my computer.

I have searched google for solutions but I am at my wits end now as I really haven't gotten any where with it and dont fully understand what it is that I need to do.

The problem says Windows has recovered from an unexpected shutdown, then it shows the below information.

Problem signature:

OS Version: 6_0_6002

My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite L40-14N

Any help would be really appreciated.

Thanks :)

    Try this:
Right Click on “My Computer” and goto “Properties”.
Then goto the “Advanced” tab and under the headline “Startup and Recovery”,
    press the “Settings” button.
Untick the “Automatically Restart” box and press Ok.

    This won't solve your problem!!

But it will stop the reboot at the blue screen, giving you time to note down the error message (in case it's different than the one you posted)
Then that should give us a good place to see what's causing the problem.

Thank you I have done the above so next time i will be ready to write down the error message.

I have searched through this forum for blue screen problems and down loaded the blue screen view (which was advised to someone else with similar problem) to see what problems have come up.

The most recent blue screen problem which it says has occurred is:-

    OK
From what I can gather "Quota_Underflow" error is usually due to 3rd part drivers. Have you installed any new hardware recently?
Like a printer or a scanner?

Or can you remember if you updated anything like Graphics, sound or network cards recently?

Try Methods 1 and 2 in this Microsoft Answers page. See if there's any difference:

Thanks, I will try what you have suggested.

No I cant remember updating any graphics or anything. The only things which have recently been installed is a Digital photo keyring via the USB port but the problem was occuring before this.

The problem started at the beginning of March when I got a virus on my computer. When I logged onto my laptop the background disappeared and lots of pop ups came up to say it was scanning my computer for viruses.

A Friend rolled back my profile to a previous date when my computer was working fine and it seemed it was working as it should be so I'm guessing its something that may have triggered it?

Sorry if it doesnt make much sense, I'm not really clued up with the technical stuff :o
