Carron Phoenix or Franke Sink Info Please

I'm getting a new kitchen and am either going to get the Franke Maris MRG611 or the Carron Phoenix Bali 105 sink.

Has anyone got either of these and if so are you happy with it? Also are they any more awkward to fit than a stainless steel sink? I think they both say tap hole pre drilled but requires knock out. Is that easy enough as plumber has never fitted one of these so he's not sure either.
Thanks.

I've sold both of these sinks and seen them installed. They are much better quality than stainless steel (certainly more sturdy and less prone to scratches) and they are just as easy to fit.

As to the tap hole. It is really simple to do, it gives full details in the installation instructions, but basically it is just hammered out...

Are they both the same standard quality or does one stand out as better?

Quality wise, there's not much in them at all. The Franke one will probably be slightly more expensive, but that's more to do with the brand name than the difference in quality...

Have just seen the thread ...
We've got a Franke Fragranite sink (not your model) in Polar White. If you value your sanity, please don't buy a white one - the other colours may be OK, I don't know, but the white is a pig to clean. It stains easily and just looks grubbily yellow in all the (numerous) nooks and crannies. I didn't want stainless steel at the time, but now wish I'd listened to my other half and had either ss or porcelain.

No not white fortunately! I'm having graphite I think. I've read that they can show limescale but someone said use cooking oil on it and it looks like new.

We have just had the franke sink you refer to installed, and it is in graphite.

We are pleased with it, but since it's only been in a few weeks I can't give any long term view.

Our kitchen fitter drilled out the tap hole. It burnt out a cheap core drill he picked up from the diy shed.

The biggest issue I had with the sink is that the bowls section didn't fit cleanly into a 600mm space. The kitchen guy had to rout out some of the carcass edge. This was an inconvenience but surmountable.
