greedy pga professional at shrewsbury golf club

this golf club decided they would create an academy to encourage more youngsters to take up the sport and would charge £25 per child all inclusive of equipment and 6 lessons which would be provided by the pga professional who also has the pro shop.
just under £600 was paid to him by the golf club to provide the 6 lessons of 1 hours duration but he decided that was not enough and charged each child a further £15 each which means that he was receiving about £750 for 6 hours work.
and yes he did have an assistant helping him with the tuition, the assistant is employed by the pga to work in the shop and is on an hourly rate.

 Wisdom doesn't necessarily come with age.
Sometimes age just shows up all by itself
In the end, it's not the years in your life
that count....it's the life in your years

Time to walk away perhaps, maybe compare with other clubs. If you can get all the kids parents together and ask to pay less.0

£40 for 6 hours tuition is still a good deal though. The Googlewhacker referance is to Dave Gorman and not to my opinion of the search engine!

If you can afford to play golf you can afford to PAY golf!
Depending on where you play, golf can be a cheap sport to participate in, and provided that you don't want the latest high tech clubs, the gear can be picked up second hand for a reasonable price.0 -
