Loss of tv channels

For the past week our digital tv and dvd recorder have had bad signal or no signal on channels 3, 4 , 5 , 6 and e4 I think. I have rescanned it a few times and now those channels have disappeared altogether.

The other little tvs we have that are connected to freeview boxes are working absolutely fine so it must be to do with the digital being incorporated in the actual items. The tv was only bought last year.

Any ideas would be gratefully received. Thanks.

A few things to try (worked for me but YMMV).

1) Remove the aerials from everything except the device that you are trying to tune.

2) Remove the aerial from the TV and do a full scan (this resets everything). Then replace the aerial and do a full scan. Explained in detail here.

3) It sounds like you are missing one of the multiplex channels. If you know which transmitter you use, then search for it on this page. Look to find the channel number for ITV1 etc. This is channel 31 on the Waltham transmitter.
Now do a manual scan for that channel only.
