Hassles with Zurich

Cancelled my Zurich car policy after 9 months recently because I could not add a driver under 35 to it (not something I was told when I took it out).

When I ask for documentary proof of NCD they say they can't give me one because the policy did not run a full year. When I took out the insurance I sent proof of NCD at the time. Now their system says I never sent it!

What isn't clear is why they never told me they had not received the proof I sent and carried on insuring me just the same?

Now the best they will offer is to get my new insurer to phone them and they will say I did not claim. Fortunately I still have the previous insurers renewal notice. Motto - hang on to documents.

This all fits, as I had various examples in the 9 months with Zurich of mistakes. Initial documents were incorrect not once but twice. Thank goodness I never had to test their response to a claim.
