Feelin a bit *sigh* at the mo. Was feeling ok then someone was saying this morning about how defeatist I am with things like the gym - I will just give up if things get too hard. They are right so I'm not angry that they said it but it's just got me thinking how much happier I would be with my lot if I was a bit more positive! Not sure how you teach yourself something like that tho!

Don't think you can teach yourself to be positive, but you are doing so well in so many areas i think we all have to accept that there are areas we are not so great in (like the gym!), try making a list of all the great stuff that you do, that should help you see how fab you are & help you feel more positive!!
(& then i second all the advice about fun exercise!)
I've hit my target!!! 12 NSDs in the bag!!!! Might even scrape together the odd one or two more before the month end, fingers crossed.

    Yay, go Nargle :j:j

Happy Belated Birthday Boult!! Hope you had a fab day!!

Happy Birthday Positivelypurple!! Hope you are having a fab day!!

Number 9 for me today, had to post a parcel for something that sold on Eb@y (in all the drama i had totally forgotten i'd relisted it!), but not counting that, as the buyer paid.

Would love to stay & chat but i have just found a bag of chocolate peanuts hiding in the back of the cupboard, so am going to treat myself to a lazy hour in bed eating them with a cuppa whilst reading my library book!! Night night all!

NSD 9 for me! So I am over my target hurrah!
Will be spending tomorrow, going to cinema to cheer a friend up, but it will be orange wednesday so a more reasonable price than the extortionate £9 a ticker normally!
Also have to buy glasses this week, thats gonna be expensive, however I just can't see properly at work anymore and been in pain, so its time to get them.
    Have a lovely evening everyone!
  • Evening lovely people.:)

    Good morning all!

    #11 for me please!

Jaffa - it's difficult to teach yourself to be positive, but re motivation, I find the key is to set small goals rather than going at something gungho and then becoming overwhelmed and giving up.
I have beenguilty of joining various gyms over the years before admitting that I didnt really like it,hence me always starting with a flourish and fading rapidly. I decided that the exercise I really liked was walking - I go 3-4 times a day with my dog, gardening ( ok not "formal" exercise) But its pretty vigorous when you get going and swimming.
I guess what Im trying to say is, find something you really like and try not to listen to others putting you down - you WILL find your niche! HTH ((((HUGS))) That said, I'm thinking of trying zumba myself - maybe that's next week's goal!;)

Happy birthday to all the birthday girls - gosh there's a lot of birthdays ATM! th_bdaycake.gif

Thanks for the lovely pic, IF - loved it!

  • I agree about small goals - very important and encouraging they are when you achieve them - I am taking abut 6 DVDs into work today to flog - my maximum possible sale value is £17 but even if I sell only 3 or 4 that will be a tenner - got loads of other stuff to sell also - much easier through work's bulletin board rather than eBay - cash in hand there and then!!

When the soon-to-be ex leaves NSDs will be easy at least once a week anyway.

    Will keep in touch!
  • Morning all,

Thanks for the birthday wishes, I had a lovely day and a gorgeous meal out last night. As a further treat, I'm off to the passport office this morning - feeling a bit _pale_ at the thought of the bill but hey ho, these things must be done. Going to have a mooch round the shops while I wait for the new passports.

Have a lovely day whatever you're up to :D
