Hello to:

marmiterulesok - we’ll let you off the retail therapy as you’re not very well, but don’t get carried away or some kippers could well be heading your way:rotfl:
Nargle - litttle spendy days are permitted, especially if whoopsied cherries are involved... I love cherries!!!:T
positivelypurple - you’ve made your target and well done for getting there. Please don’t beat yourself up if you don’t get your extra two, you’re on holiday, enjoy yourself:D
Cheryl - well done for making it through your session with the personal trainer and a mega well done for booking in again next week:T
Petrol:eek:....... my last spend to fill up the tank of my little car nearly gave me heart failure, I try very hard not to think about how much of that is tax:eek:......
kerri - answers on a postcard? I’m confused, what was the question?:rotfl:
No 18 today for me. Well I had to make up for the last two days somehow or I would have been pursuing myself with some rank, smelly kippers:D
Off to update the front page now, so see you all tomorrow.
‘night everyone

After my session with the Personal Trainer this morning, I barely made it through my shift at work - so I'm really not sure I can wiggle
Good heavens:eek:
Seriously, walking down the stairs to get out of the gym was hard work... and Mr Masochist promptly informed me that had I not had that problem it would mean he'd not done his job properly
So can someone please explain what on earth prompted me to book in for another session at the same time next week
I did learn one interesting fact though. Apparently he could tell by my attempt on the leg press machine that I'm right handed - purely 'cos I struggled when using just my left leg but found it a breeze with my right leg. He said it's normal for the leg that you are 'handed' to be stronger, and this will mean that I'm pushing off more with my right leg than my left when running - which can cause a less than optimum gait. So anything like the leg press that 'we' do in the future will always be done left leg first (as it was today without any thought/discussion) so that I can push that one to the limit and then just match the numer of repeats with my right - which should strengthen the left while just keeping the right one toned etc instead of continuing to keep it as a stronger leg. And any of the weights type work that uses both legs at the same time will take some serious concentration to make sure I'm not letting the right leg do most of the work.
*You will definitely sleep but need to recover to be functional again*
Anyway, that made it a spend day. So I nipped into Mr T (got the new quilt and pillows I'm in desperate need of, plus enough hot oat cereal to last me the best part of the next 3 months, a couple of magazines and a couple of other minor bits) and then nipped over to the filling station to put liquid gold into the car......
The last was actually the most frightening, as I almost always use the 'pay at pump' option which announces a limit you're allowed to spend - and today the pump turned itself off when it hit that limit   (I'd not have got any more in even if I'd been paying in the kiosk, but the thought I can now hit that limit in one fill-up is terrifying)
Just use self control and rationing? instead! They can't switch you off!!:money:#TY[/B] Would be Qaulity MSE Challenge Queen.
Reading whatever books I want to the rescue!:money::beer[/B

Evenin all,
Popped in to report that, sadly, puss was put to sleep today.
Believe me, that wasnt a decision lightly taken. I feel I can put my hand on heart and say I did everything I could for him, but I couldnt cope with the constant uncertainty of what I was going to face every morning. From a hygiene point of view it was just not on.
I had a good chat with the vet and she said that anything we did now would not be a cure but a temporary stopgap. Thankfully, OH came with me, and considering the strained relationship between them , he was in bits. I wasnt much better, but since the last episode, deep down I felt this was coming.
So, a bit of a sad day in Jinty house. He was a lovely cat but ill and unhappy.
I hope you wont think badly of me cos I feel terrible about it.
So sorry for you and OH.
It's never a easy decision, but I'm sure that you've done what's for the best.Your sweet kitty is no longer suffering.
Try to remember of all the good times that you had with him.

Selfish.... you.... I've never know anyone less selfish in my life. After what you've done over the past few weeks I think you deserve a medal. Please don't feel guilty or selfish, BDINI, you've been really under the weather this week and you need to relax a bit to shake off that cold. Most people probably wouldn't have gone this weekend because of it, you're just amazing.....
((((((((((HUGS)))))))))) to you too and hope your gran is really pleased to see you tomorrow.

Good morning and
for all your kind wishes. I cant tell you how much they mean to me!
Well, it was very weird coming downstairs this morning, but I do feel a sense of relief for puss. (Bruce) You dont realise how much their habits and routine are involved in your life until they're not there, IYSWIM.
Aiming for a NSD today, doglet going to the salon for his "do" today and then some grocery shop. OH will pay for the hairdo and I have the grocery money set aside.
Other than that I am going to have a quiet day - footie starts in Scotland today, so OH will be watching that and I'm going to chill and read my book.
Have a lovely day everyone!:)
you will always be rich enough to be generous.0 -
