The jubilant July NSD challenge

Sorry folks, not been around for a bit, busy getting lots of things done.
Still to catch up, so may not now as we are off on holiday tomorrow and won't have nternet access for nearly three weeks!! I am actually looking forward to it, though I will miss all my friends on MSE.
Picked up an NSD on Saturday, making 9 in total so far, only 6 left to collect for the rest of the month. I wil report how I did when I return in August!
I didn't get the shop job...a shame, but never mind. Anyhoo, I have managed to acquire a job on Sunday...at least I think I have!I went to a quilt exhibition yesterday (held by the quilting club I've recently joined). The lady who was selling material and other stuff has a shop/workshop/exhibition centre, and has asked me to help get her business sorted on the computer!!
She has someone creating a new websitre for her, but she needs all her contacts to be put into a database, as well as other IT stuff. IT for crafting...what could be better!! It's only one day a week, and the business is 25 miles away , but after the first few sessions, I'll be able to work mainly form home...so just as well I didn't get the other job! Also, her business may well be an outlet for things that I create, and possible teaching classes in the future...it just gets better! :j:j So excited...can you tell!!
Right off to give DS1 plant-watering instructions, he just got back today, anbd we have moved things about a bit while he was away.
All this, and I made my first "proper bag" over the weekend too!! May have time to post piccie linky later.
Must get off and do more stuff..still loads left!
Have a great July, and see you in August!

cw18 - I have those bedcovers in cream! I really like them, the fabric is better quality than the cheap ones, and they look nice and simple on the bed.
I'm on NSD 6 hurrah!
Hopefully tomorrow can be another one...getting low on petrol so hoping I can last a few more days.0 -
Evening all! Well despite the many temptations in Mr S at lunchtime, I clocked up NSD #9 today :j(well it might actually be #10 if i take the washers back that I bought on Fri, but I'm not counting my NSD before they hatch
)
New taps arrived today - they are really really nice, even better given the price. I'm a little cranky today so thought that trying to remove old bath taps and fit new ones might not be the best idea - so waiting prob until I finish on Fri to see what lies under the old bath taps. I must admit, if the bath under there is kaput and I can't fit these news ones I'll be pretty disappointed so keep those fingers crossed (and legs Hubert..well you prob should just keep your legs crossed anyway, best all round :rotfl:)
Cheryl, the bedroom colour scheme is lovely, personally I prefer the first wallpaper - but of course I won't be living there
Sorry to hear about the job Keiss but as you say, sounds like it may well have all worked out for the best - have a lovely holiday too
Love the pic IF, sums the weather up today.
Well tomorrow prob won't be a NSD, I have a list of a few things that are required such a bread for OH sarnies, a few leads from the Grabbit board (not that i haven't got a fair stash of toothpaste and toilet roll already) ...will keep you posted on that though.

So do I. Firstly I'm not sure I want all my walls plain Duck Egg, and secondly by introducing the cream into the room through that it means my current carpet and headboard won't need replacing - so saving some fairly serious money!
The Arg0s order is coming in at just under £103, but as that's for 2 quilt covers (each with two pillow cases), 2 fitted sheets, 2 additional packs of pillowcases (4 in total), 2 lamps, a light fitting and a pair of curtains I don't think it's at all unreasonable
Just need to work out how many rolls of paper/tubs of paint I need now.....Cheryl0 -
Ohh...in my excitement of a NSD, forgot to mention one of the wombled Mr A receipts came back with £6-odd from the PG - it was the last one I tried so was well chuffed
ps I also love seeing what people buy in their shop ...is that terribly nosey?Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
