Just been to Tesco, and saw the offer for milk re-fill bags reduced from 86p to 50p for 2pints. The plastic jug to use with them has a reduced SEL of £1. When you got to the till, if you purchase 2 bags of milk your jug will go through for 1p! It is a legit offer, but haven't seen it advertised. Bargain The milk is on offer until 19th July and jugs offered at £1 until the same date, but not sure when the 1p thing stops. HTH and if this is a duplicate, please delete. :A

As tesco have just launched the milk bags nationwide, they had a day last week when the jugs were given away for a 1p.So its only those stores that have leftovers and the specific barcodes on them that will have them for 1p[so I would scan them first0

i been buying a few of these lately, one of them exploded everywhere when i put it in wrong the other day...lol nightmare i have given up already...0

I've learnt from the Sainsburys ones that before you put them in your basket, hold them up and squeeze. Do this both ways up.
 Then at least you wonn't...
 a) find it is leaking all over your trousers while you are walking around the shop
 b) find it has leaked all over your bag of shopping when you get home.
And place them in a carrier bag on their own in case b happens!
More hassle than they are worth??:beer:0

Never had one explode, a few I've managed to perforate the bag twice leading to a leak.
The thing to be careful is putting the bags in a metal basket or trolley. Some of them have bits of metal that can puncture the bag so I always make sure I put something underneath the bags
If I've read the OP right the bags aren't 1p it's the jug?0

Jugs: You need to look for a barcode that ends in 42 (1p), rather than 24 (£1).0

You have to buy 2 bags of milk to get the 1p price, so would need to scan those first/Otherwise it will show £1. No disasters so far with it... Although I got some for my Dad, and if anyone can have a disaster, he will :eek:Still looking for the plot...... Anyone seen it???0

incorrect, you must have the jug that ends 142, it dosent matter if you buy the milk or not. the bar code MUST end 142You have to buy 2 bags of milk to get the 1p price, so would need to scan those first/Otherwise it will show £1. No disasters so far with it... Although I got some for my Dad, and if anyone can have a disaster, he will :eek:life is like a loo roll. the nearer the end you get, the faster it goes.0

Are the bags recyclable? My local council accepts milk bottles for recycling, but not bags...0
