Endsleigh landlord's insurance

I recently phoned both Endsleigh and Alan Boswell for quotes for landlord's insurance.
Alan Boswell were helpful, professional, and efficient.
Endsleigh were completely useless – couldn’t answer (or even, seemingly, understand) any of my questions and didn’t seem to care.
HOWEVER, when I went and got an online quote, it seems Endsleigh are substantially cheaper – and for more cover too, as (up to) £1million is standard for rebuilding costs.
So. My Q is, does anyone have any experience of actually claiming from Endsleigh? How was it?

No.
But are you happy with Endsleigh so far?
If you are, save the money.
If you have decided they're no good, go with Alan Boswell.
It's how they are going to treat you that matters, not what another office or call centre miles away is like.0 -
Well, no.
But I guess, like many of us, I tend to swing between wanting the best price, or being willing to pay a bit more for decent service...0 -
Pay more for the service.
I believe in saving money, but if you don't like them at the quote stage, go with your gut feeling.0 -
Admittedly my experience was a home insurance claim:
The service was fast.
Had a quick turn about time for email responses.
Accepted all quotes/estimates without quibble
quick payout.
Two small grumbles –
1. the claim was a touch delayed because I had to have a telephone validation interview with a loss assessor - the claim was fairly low value/ low impact (loss of handbag with contents - left it on the back of a service station door - in my defence I was distracted as I dashed in to be unwell!)
2. I was not covered for mobile. This was unexpected as I had extra personal possessions cover and made the assumption that mobiles were included as they have been with all my other insurers.
Though you could argue point 2- was my fault not Endsleighs I am now worried what else may not be covered which I would expect as standard under contents/ PP cover which they expect you to purchase as ‘add ons’Please note I have a cognitive disability - as such my wording can be a bit off, muddled, misspelt or in some cases i can miss out some words totally...0 -
That's really useful, thanks for the feedback0
