Insuring two cars in my name

You'd be better posting this in the Insurance Board0

You can insure as many cars as you like!
If you have a no claims bonus on your current car, you can only use it one one car. So the new car will start off from no NCD. But ... if you talk to your current insurer they may well do you a good deal.0 -
Admiral might match your NCD if you're the only driver on both cars.0

multicar policy would be the best bet as they could transfur x amount of NCD to the second car.0 -

Not sure about that. Have 2 cars with directline and the second was equally cheap to insure. My husband and I bought brand new identical cars on the same day but he kept old his old one as well. Neither of us had accidents for at least 15 years and had low premiums. Both new cars one in my name and one in his were about the same to Insure even though his was a second car. Mine was a trade in to a newer model of same car-went up just a few pounds.June challenge £100 a day £3161.63 plus £350 vouchers plus £108.37 food/shopping saving
July challenge £50 a day. £ 1682.50/1550
October challenge £100 a day. £385/£31000 -

Not always, i went for multicar and i could feel them pulling my pants down while working out the premium. When i told them that it was too expensive the bloke asked if i needed both drivers on the car or if i'd just added my mum to bring the cost down. Obviously i had so he told me that i was only saving a fiver, but as i could only drive one car at time, if i knocked her off the policy he'd match my NCD.
So they gave me 8 years on each car and sent me 2 proofs of NCD at the end of the policy so i can go to separate insurers.0 -
I have 2 cars, both have amassed full NCB, Admiral do a driver policy.
So yes, you can, but it is best to phone round.I would like to live in Theory, because everything works there0 -
If you are claiming to be the main driver on both cars, you would be wise to make sure you actually are.0

I used Chris Knott to insure a second car. They gave a discount matching the NCB on the main car.0
