I have been using Google Gmail notifier, it's a small application that pop up's when you receive a new email.
However this week it has stopped working, new email no pop up etc. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the application but it still does not work.
Checking the settings for gmail, the Desktop Notifications now state: To enable notifications, upgrade your browser to Google Chrome.
Anyone else with the same problem?

Looks like google have now updated it so that it only works with google chrome and not the other browsers that it used.0

Did you recently change your account settings to only use a secure connection? If its the notifier I think you're refering to, you'll need the patched version that works with secure login available here: http://www.google.com/mail/help/downloads/notifier_https.zipNote: If you've enabled the 'Always use https' setting in Gmail, you'll need to install a patch for the Notifier to work with this setting:
Download the patch (.zip).
Open the folder.
Double-click the notifier_https.reg file.
Click yes when you're asked to confirm if you want to add the information to the registry.
Restart the Notifier.
If you decide you no longer want to use the https setting, you'll need to install the other file included in the download to reset the Notifier. Use the same method as above, except with 'notifier_https_undo.reg.'
