Switching to gas cooker, what fittings?

Due to costs, I'm thinking of switching from 'lecky to gas cooker.
This fitting is in wall -

I'm thinking this is a bayonet socket, but am wondering if that's a blanking cover on the end?
What do I need to connect to a cooker, which all seem to use 1/2" BSP on the cooker itself.

Hi
The ones the GSR fitter brings with him/her.
They will have the relevant qualification on the back of their ID card ie; cookers 'CKR1'
Find an installer here
GSR.Ask to see CIPHE (Chartered Institute of Plumbing & Heating Engineering)0 -
If the OP considers himself competent then he is fine to do it himself.
Otherwise, yep, get someone in0 -
I wasn't sure that they did bayonet fittings for gas. It's bound to be a screw thread and that cap will be screwed on tight, maybe have tape around it too.0

Don't forget to check the burner pressure, gas tightness, combustion ventilation, and anti-tilt fixings required.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0

Yeah thanx, once I've Googled for the info, I'll self-declare myself as a 'competent person' and we'll be good to go.0
