Hi my laptop is struggling and saw the article of how to speed up a PC etc as was looking for advice on buying a new one but thought would try this first, could someone possibly take a look at the Hijack log below and advise please as novice on these sort of issues.

You've probably got most of it. I'd lastly try Combofix. You'll need to temporarily disable Norton. When it asks to install the recovery console, then select 'Yes':
