  • Well the exact wording is "may result in the instruction of Bailiffs/Sheriff Officers action to satisfy the debt plus charges"
  • So should I just keep ignoring? They're not going to take me to court or anything are they...? I'm panicking slightly...

Yes keep on ignoring - this is a fake PCN scam, soooo common we've all had them.

No you will not get your day in Court. Just a flurry of junkmail to ignore.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

When you don't pay Whyte & Co the only option they have is to hand it back to the company, or a solicitor with the words we cant get the money if you want it you will have to take them to court. So "recommend that recovery proceedings be escalated" is the only threat they have left.

They use the debt collector to scare people, when in actual fact the debt collectors only option is to ask you to pay.

The threat of bailiffs is another scare tactic. They miss out an awful lot of things what would have to happen before a bailiff could become involved.

What they send out are standard template letters, which mostly refer to legitimated debts. Court action may be a viable consequence for a legitimate debt where a contract or agreement is in force.

The whole system is based on scare tactics, and using phrases to try and lever cash from people. When in fact they know after a few letters asking for payment they will do nothing.

A long way of saying carry on ignoring really!!

Just a threatogram. If they were going to instigate action surely they would have done it by now.
