Comparison sites £130 savings difference between them

I've had quotes from energyhelpline that the following would save me about £160 but if I look at saveitbuddy.com they say the same tariff will save me £296. Simplyswitch agrees with the lower quote. My dad recommended saveitbuddy after he heard it promoted on the radio and he successfully switched to British Gas. The tariff I have been quoted for is this one:
EDF Energy - Fixed S@ver v2 tariff

What do you folk reckon on the difference in savings these two sites offer? I used my actual kwh/annual figures to get each of these quotes. I did a search here for posts about saveitbuddy.com and could not find anyone who had used them.

I am loathe to use energyhelpline after I have been bullied by a very pushy and argumentative salesperson last night and today and hung up the phone during the second call! It's a pity I did not catch his name.

Why do you need to phone energyhelpline (or any other comp site) to get a quote? The whole point is to do it online up to the comparison stage-then use a cashback site for the actual switch of course.
The established comp sites will all give very similar results if you use your kWh figs, and can be trusted.

Looks like Saveitbuddy is run by someone who was/is involved with the Stockdale group, famed for the "At cost energy" flop last year that just turned out to be data harvesting.

Not sure I would use it if im honest..
    Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently! ;)

Oh I didn't ring energyhelpline, they ring me every few weeks from a call center in India and I always put them off. This time the guy would not shut up and I felt bullied. The call was the real deal because I emailed their website last year to check if the callers are really their employees and got a reply that they are. After this intrusion into my life from a very rude man I'm going to tell them never to ring me again if they call back.

Oo I missed that debacle. Very off-putting, I'll see if I can find the threads.
    Thanks!

How did they get your number-you don't need to put any personal info in to get the utility results?

I have no idea I never switched through them before, but I am registered on the telephone preference thingy and I still get quite a few unwanted calls.
