Manchester builder?

Options
Anybody care to recommend a reliable/available/friendly/not-too-pricey etc. builder in the Manchester area (Stretford)?

New year resolution is to finally get around to sorting our pit of a bedroom out, so job is a bit of everything – skim walls, fit new sockets/lights, construct fitted shelves, paint/paper walls etc. etc.

There’ll be a long list of other things to do (we bought the house last year and there are a number of things highlighted on the survey we want to sort before they become major) so I want to find someone I can trust and keep going back to them.

Cheers

    A house isn't a home without a cat.
Those are my principles. If you don't like them, I have others.
I have writer's block - I can't begin to tell you about it.
You told me again you preferred handsome men but for me you would make an exception.
It's a recession when your neighbour loses his job; it's a depression when you lose yours.
  • Try ringing a couple of local builders merchants to see who they would reccomend or better still pay a visit. This method should find a reliable builder and thats the main requirement plus i would point out that if anybody is available tomorrow its unlikely they would be up to the job

Thing is, it's more than a plasterer I need.

The problem with doing a bedroom is we'd want it done in the shortest possible time - so ideally I'd want one person who can do everything.

Truth is, I've always done everything myself in the past, but I'm so busy with work/family and I can't face weeks or months of chaos whilst I try and grab time at weekends.

I never thought it'd come to this, but I'm prepared to pay someone to strip wallpaper!
