Could be the driver lied, driver ran out of time, couldnt find your address, a number of various reasons. Of course, this is no good to you I understand. I think Citylink depots close at 12.30 on Saturdays too so might be a stone wall now.
In your situation I would go down to the depot just to see what is happening there but be prepared not to get the package.

Doesn't look like mine is going to arrive either, the same Bedford/Milton Keynes display as dylan.
What I cant understand is that apparently it took 4 hrs from leaving the Bedford branch, to leaving the Milton keynes branch, when Milton Keynes is 20 miles from Bedford. Added to that why the hell did it even need to go to Milton Keynes in the first place, when it's supposedly coming to me here in London!0 -
What is your tracking number Salieri? Was it sent by Citylink?0
-
yeah, it was... City Link's website essentially says the same as Amazon, only without the Depot details.0

How many times have Citylink claimed to have left a card after trying delivery at my house when I've been in and no sign of card? Many many times. They lie. Simple as that.BE NICE - IT'S FREE!0 -

Yes thats why one of my options was the driver lied

I did find though that after writing to Citylink head office about my local driver he did shape up and hasn't tried lying since!0 -

Well I have just done a 60mile round trip to my "local" City Link Depot after they said they had left a card after no one in (WHEN THERE WAS)...... It said on thier web site that close at 3.15pm.... got there at 2.45 and all closed up BUT some lights on up stairs and a car outside.......BEEPED horn endlessly and hammered on door but to no avail :mad:0 -
This is normal practice of delivery drivers who have too many drops on there round! When home time comes all packages come back to the depot and any excuse made. All they care about is getting home not what they have on the van0

While trying not to defend them and undersatnding your problem it is hardly the drivers fault if he is given too many parcels to deliver in the time he has been given. He has to have some time with his family at Christmas like everyone else and to be honest if he is paid (pretty poorly as well I should think) up until a certain time then why should he work for free .. would you?
The blame should lie with the delivery company themselves for not having enough people to do the deliveries at this time of year .. not the driver.0
