cheapest xp

I need a copy of XP for a new PC I'm putting together. Where can I get a copy for the cheapest price? Someone is selling xp pro on ebay for £60 with P&P is that a good deal?

Whats the differnace between the different versions, for instance what does media center edition do that home doesn't or won't do without a few downloads?

It's all a bit too confusing!!
Nothing to see here, move along.

I wouldn't buy it off ebay, as there is no guarrantee that it isa genuine copy, and that you will get the correct key.

AUT direct sell Xp for £60 new.

  • £60 off Ebay is very steap.

I got XP Pro for £10 on ebay years ago and it was one of them corporate versions whereby you didn't have to verfiy it online :A

You should really just wait till the new year and get Windows Vista, but no doubt that will have a good 6-12 months of patches required to plug all it's holes, so maybe XP is the way forward for now.

I wasn't aware that it was a corporate one until it arrived. But it had a letter from Mr Bill Gates saying he authorised the sale as it was his nephew selling it :D
