URGENT - Need Halifax out of hours insurance number

Does anyone have the Halifax out of ours number for their home insurance? We can't find it on their website. My parents home burnt down this evening (nothing left) and they are supposed to be arranging for someone to come and secure the building but nobody has called and it's been a while.

Quick replies would be very much appreciated.
Hoping to create a beautiful life for DS and I.

How awful for your parents, I hope you're all okay. I've had a look at my bank statement and I can't find it however have you tried calling the regular number? It may be able to advise of an out of hours emergency number. Alternatively by calling a standard 24 hour banking number an advisor may be able to put you through to the right area. They could try 08457 20 30 40.

My deepest sympathies, I hope someone else has came up with a more usefuul answer.
    Thank you competition posters!

Oh yes, I should have mentioned, everybody is safe, although we did lose some beloved pets and of course, everything they owned. It's just that the police say we have to secure the house, but it's completely gutted and apparently the insurance company should sort it.

We're trying the lost credit card number, they were extremely helpful earlier on and did put us through the emergency number. Unfortunately, in the stress we totally forgot to ask them for the number!! They said they were sending someone but nobody has come or been in touch with us.

    Thanks for your help.

I am so sorry to hear that. I know your parents aren't going to be OK with what has happened but I hope that they weren't injured at all. Sending sympathies to them and to you.

We are with the halifax for home insurance and have just checked our policy. The emergency number that we have got is 0845 603 2251.

That number was apparently from the details we were sent when we took the policy out in 2005 and we have only had renewals since then. Hope that the number has not changed.
