Do I leave feedback?

I bought a cardigan on ebay approx 2 weeks ago and paid straight away (last minute bid). I contacted the seller yesterday asking where it was as I had no contact or notification of postage.
I got a reply today and an immediate refund saying the cardi was damaged - a button was missing - and they were really sorry.
The thing is, it was a designer cardi which I got for £1.20. Starting bid was 99p. I had a sneaky suspicion that the seller would be miffed at the selling price. It was listed in the wrong place hence the cheap price.
Do I still leave feedback even though I smell a rat? There was no offer of the cardi despite the missing button (i'd still have taken it for same price).

Have you contacted the seller and said that you would still buy it? - If she is genuine she will still sell it to you. However I suspect she will say she chucked it or gave it to a charity shop...LOL - Check her account has she relisted it?
Depending on her reply (and / or excuse) I would leave appropriate feedback. Either way she should have contacted you to let you know what was happening so be sure to leave 'appropriate' communication stars...etc0 -
No refund for 2 weeks?
I would neg and hit the comm stars as wellI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Checked the account - not relisted lol.
I'll email them asking if I can still have it then leave feedback.
I'm a bit suspicious because when I bought it I was thinking that if it was me, i'd be mad at the selling price :POfficial DFW nerd no 551 - proud to be dealing with my debts

I recently left a neg for this, which is very rare for me.
Seller just refunded with no message and requested a cancellation. I refused cancellation and he said in a sarcy way that it was damaged and what did i expect him to do - still send it? I said yes, and he said he can't , because its at the tip.
I waited 2 weeks, cos i could not decide what feedback to leave. Then i thought of the number of times i have bought from other ebayers or a shop to replace an item i could not send myself, and the fact he could not be bothered explaining to me.
So in the end i negged him. The same day HE negged a few sellers. I think my neg wound him up

If it had been damaged between listing & posting then the seller would have contacted you immediately, she's had 2 weeks to let you know & doesn't look as though as she was going to tell you, perhaps hoping that you'd forget you won it or something.
I'd message her saying that you'd be happy to buy it with the missing button, if she either refuses or ignores you (I'd only give her 24 hours to reply) then I would open an INR, once that's over neg & hit the appropriate stars.0 -
Well I messaged the seller on Friday and have had no reply.
I simply said that I was willing to take the cardi and that I'd replace the button myself. No reply at all so far. I'll leave it till Tuesday morning ( I always allow time for social lifes) and see if they reply then, if not then I feel I have no alternative but to neg them.
Just quite annoyed that there would have been no contact if I hadn't emailed them first. How long would they have left it?

you can also report them as a non-performing seller, as they did not complete the transaction.
I agree, I would neg them too.0
