How to make a website?

What do you need to make a website - I've got some space from ntl, I think.

Do I need to get a domain name registered or something and is that free or do i pay for it??

How easy is it to do as well??

Just want to make a simple revenge site for a freind

You need to pay for a domain nane unless your happy with the name you,ve got from ntl allready

quite difficult, unless your a programmer although there's lots of software about to hlep you create a site without writing from scratch. Known as WYSIWYG which stands for What You See Is What You Get.

You can use Microsoft Frontpage, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Publisher. If you don't have any web page creation programs on your PC, there are plenty of free ones on the internet - just Google "web page creator". For example, you could use: FCKeditor. This should create some .html files for you.

Or, this is a really easy-to-use Tool on Google.

You'll also need to find out how to copy these files to your free web space on NTL. This is normally done using an "FTP" program - you will need an FTP address, a UserID, and password from NTL.

I use Claris Home Page. Works on Mac or Windows. Powerful but simple to use. Obsolete and no longer sold but look on eBay or ask around.
