House Insurance and Solar Panels

Can anyone help update the following list and / or give suggestions for home insurers that offer cover for solar panels, and whether this is in the same way as, for example a TV aerial, i.e. the panels itself are covered and also damage to other property caused by the panels.
AXA - no mention
Co-op - covers accidental damage to panels but apparently not damage caused by panels
Direct Line - no mention
Direct Line SELECT - covered
LV= - covered
M&S - covered
Thanks

This was discussed some while ago and IIRC the conclusions were that it didn't present a problem, but you needed to inform the insurance company.0

My home insurance is with Nationwide. I phoned to inform them and was informed the system is covered - no extra premium.

There's a difference between saying that it doesn't present a problem (although it certainly did for one MSE poster https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2922364)
... and saying that panels are fully covered like any other fixture on your building.
For example most policies will cover damage to the building caused by falling aerials or satellite dishes. However, unless the policy specifically mentions solar panels, it's unlikely that damage caused by a falling solar panel is covered, or damage to the panel itself.
Cover for theft is also something that is worth having, see https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2656423We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.

I realise that this thread is better placed in the Insurance board so I have started a new one there.
