DRO and debts incurred outside the UK

I think it is a very exact answer in that they wont commit themselves to enforcing it anywhere else, although the european agreement should cover it, It would also mean that no debt in another country could enforce the debt against any assets here in our courts, If you dont have assets abroad and dont intend to in the future then this explanation can stop there.
If you have assets elsewhere particularly out of the EU then it could start to get a bittrickyHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.
Please note that any views i put forth are not those of my former employer The Insolvency Service and do not constitute professional advice, you should always seek professional advice before entering insolvency proceedings.0 -

Thanks, debtinfo. So the Insolvency Service are saying they won't enforce it on debts outside the UK, but because it's an EU-wide agreement banks in other EU countries WILL recognise it?
I don't have any assets in any country, inside or outside the EU!0 -
Yes, that is what they are saying, all debts included, all creditors will be notified, but they wont go into bat for you if creditors in another country try to seize assets that you have thereHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.

I guess that assets outside the UK would fall into the £300 rule.0 -

Sounds plausible. But I don't have any assets in the UK or otherwise!0 -

They didn't, they said they've dealt with my particular situation in the past and the DRO has been recognised by the foreign creditors.0
