Combined postage question

Hi guys, after some advice please.

I have sold some items on ebay for the first time, mainly uni books.

One buyer has won two of these books, the postage for the first is £1.50 first class and the second I listed as £1.50 second class as it is larger and heavier.

What is the etiquette on ebay regarding mutiple item purchases? Should I offer the seller a discount? If so what you do feel is appropriate? The buyer is yet to pay or make contact.

I'm assuming these books are really thin and light as otherwise you will struggle to post them for that sort of money.

However, calculate the exact amount each will cost to send individually and also to send together. If it is cheaper to send together then send a combined invoice with the new p and p. If it is cheaper to send seperately then send an invoice for each but an email explaining to the buyer that they are cheaper to send in different packages.

Thanks Soolin, after weighing and checking, it would appear to be cheaper to send indivdually. I'll invoice the buyer and let them know this.

Always worth checking weights and sizes especially if a single item will go as a large letter. I sell a line of goods that are cheaper to post individually than in bulk.
