Hi Everyone,
Thanks in advance for your replies, quick question, what payout would i get if my company goes into voluntary liquidation? Been here for 31 years and salary is £2385 gross per month, i'm aged 48 if that helps, need to be sure and do my maths for the future, i'm working on the legal minimum entitlement as i can't see company being in any way generous to me, even after all that time!!
Thanks

There is a calculator on the Directgov site which you can use to work out your entitlement to statutory redundancy pay - search on 'statutory redundancy'. It is based on completed years' service with the employer and your age at the time the redundancy occurs. The same site gives information on employees' rights to redundancy pay (and other matters) when the employer is insolvent. Based on the figures you have given the amount would be £9,400 - but you would need to check this yourself.0
