Mine too,and when it cracked I went to my local ironmongers and for 45p bought a wooden drawer knob with a screw that fitted through the lid and hey presto a wooden knob on the lid instead of a plastic one .My daughter has a set of saucepans with glass lids that I re-knobbed for her .Much cheaper than throwing them away as she was going to do. Why plastic knobs are put on lids I can never understand . I am lucky that I have a real old-fashioned Ironmongers in my village .He will sell you a light bulb on it's own or a couple of screws or nuts what ever you need. Far cheaper than the big B7Q's as most of their stuff is sold in multi-packs .I live alone so often I only need a small quantity of things. I am a great believer of using local stores if I can. They need the buisness, and I would hate to see the big companies swallow up the little shops. My local big town is Chatham and it seems to be full of boarded up shops and estate agents .

yes, my lid is glass but the white knob is plastic - thats whats cracked. Will change to a wooden one if it breaks - thanks for that tip.

Well generally an auto button will cook at high for a while (maybe 2 hours) and then turns down to low. I use this if I'm leaving it on all day while we are out.
  • I have lost my instruction booklet for my cookworks slow cooker :( does anyone know where I can get a replacement? thanks xx
