unfair feedback

basically i sold a item on ebay.
it said delivery time 6-8 working days
which i did and the customer kepted hassling me saying they had not recieved there item. When they did recieve it they said i under payed on postage which i apologised for and refunded straight away plus a little extra as a apology.
they left neg feedback saying slow delivery etc.
is there any way of appealing it or getting it removed as i stated posted times and was in that and offered a refund and apology were due. I even said i had a family death hence the slow postage what was true and not a lie to get them off my back.

any help be much appreciated

No not much you can do unless they broke a rule (like mentioning contact details, being abusive, talking about dispute...etc)

Regardless of the despatch / delivery time specified a buyer is still entitled to feel delivery was slow (even though you did state this in the auction). Just because they agree to the despatch / delivery time doesn't mean they have to be happy with it, and can express this (in ebay land).

Unfortunately mentioning a death in the family would instantly get a lot of peoples (Ebay regulars) backs up. It is a common excuse for tardy delivery times, sure that sometimes it is true but it is rolled out so many times that it becomes like the Boy who cried wolf.

I reckon you are stuck with it.

As above the very moment you mentioned a family death I would have been peeved. So many people now use that when they take a while to post.
I wouldn't admittedly have been hassling you for it until it was several days late.
The buyer hasn't left anything in the FB that would get ebay to remove it.
If you find that you've overcharged on postage it's always best to give a partial refund immediately.

OP said he had UNDERcharged on P&P - So i took that to mean it didn't have enough 'stamps' on it.
