Only just found it but it's very useful:
Organize Status Bar (found via Lifehacker)
Problem with extensions is that they often stick themselves in a random place in the status bar, and even if they can be removed, you can't re-organize them. This lets you move them about

I don't use Firefox as my main browser but I am studying Internet Technologies and enjoy web development so its one of the five browsers I have installed and over time I have looked at extensions which include:
Talkback
I think this is a standard error reporting thing, don't remember installing it
GooglePreview
Places a thumbnail of the website in Google/Yahoo search results
Adblock Plus
Block images and adverts, I don't really use this one much though

Checks websites (X)HTML
CSS Validator
Checks websites CSS
Customise Google
Allows for various tweeks to the way Google works
Total Validator
Validates websites in numerous ways
Mozilla Accessibility Extension
I think this is also installed by default, I don't remember installing it

Web Devloper
Excellent tool for web developers (or I think it is!)
Cooliris Previews
Allows you to preview a page without opening it in your browser
Link Checker
Check all the links on a website work, useful if you have a link directory on your website, every now and then you can check all the links in one click
Link Alert
Displays a little icon next to the mouse do display the file type or target window
Quick Restart
Allows you to close and restart Firefox automatically (after installing an extension for example)
Server Spy
Shows you the server software running the website0 -
