Thoughts wanted on potential DPS arbitration

The cupboard was sited in that location by the building company when the flat was built. Each year gas safety checks were conducted and the landord let them in but neither they nor the engineer working within the cupboard noted any damage I assume. For this reason the l/l says it is likely damage was caused late in the tenancy which contraducts their other argument that I didn't notice and advise them of any damage.
With the drawer surely their argument is even more tenuous - who would notice the side of a drawer next to an oven door when it isnt obvious?
They are seeking £172 through arbitration which is the cost of replacing both cupboard and drawer frontages. Bearing in mind this is technicslly cosmetic damage and they have already offered to half tge cost (as well as putting my points about design to the builders before being told theyre out of the warranty period), and taking into account the units are five years old I cant see how an adjudicator could award them more than a small percentage but am I wrong?0 -
any further thought greatly appreciated as even the relativelylow sum involved is a very big deal to me.0
