Ebay question on selling/shipping to Southern Ireland

I've got an auction ending at 9pm tonight and i'm the seller. I originally had it listed as posting within the uk, but i had a request to ship to Southern Ireland (Eire). I got a price and revised the listing to shipping outside the UK. However the lady says she is still blocked out of the auction and can't bid. She really wants the item and i'd be keen to let her win it (obviously).

Any other ideas on what else i need to do please, i can't find much help on the ebay help section.

Thanks.

Sounds like you've got it set to UK bidders only. You need to revise and change the bit where it says "will send to" and add another country Ireland so she can bid.

See if you can find it - should be under postage etc....I did this when I had a wannabebidder from France, I just added France as I didnt want to risk sending it just anywhere.

If you're happy to send to France, the rest of the EU shouldn't be too difficult. You might get more interest and there's nothing really to worry about - most EU postal services (except the Italian one) are relatively efficient, even beyond the old Iron Curtain. You are protected up to £46 with a proof of posting, just as you are within the UK (although sending valuable items abroad can be trickier if you need a signature).

  • But i can't seem to change the setting, there isn't anything to click on I just get this:-

    International postage
Your item will appear only on eBay UK

But there isn't a box or a drop down to use, how do i change this please?

You're not allowed to change a listing if it has less than 12 hours to run, so this is probably the problem.

If she is on there then put her exempt from buyer requirements. You will have to remove her again after the auction, or I think she will always be exempt.

Just to add I sell a lot to the ROI. The buyers are really polite and pay quickly. I have very few problems. There normally very happy that your willing to ship there as people frequently forget about them.
