Hello,
I am moving into my first home next Wednesday and am looking into the best deals for broadband...
I have been looking into in and it seems you need line rental and then broadband on top...
Are there any companies that don't need line rental as i don't really want a landline as I wouldnt use it...
If i do have one does anyone know of any good line rental/broadband deals?
Thanks!

Unless it's Virgin cable, cellular or satellite, all broadband is carried on a PSTN landline. Hence, you need a landline.
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/utilities/Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
If you are not in a Virgin area you might consider mobile broadband.
It really depends on where you live as to how good it can be. My friend has an Orange dongle and it works amazingly well for their netbook. My mum has a t-mobile dongle and she's happy but it's not as good as my friend's.0
