Sad day for me today, it is seven years since I lost my mum. We get together as a family and go out for the day. Each year we visit a place that mum used to like to visit so today was Felixstowe, but you would have thought it was the middle of November instead of July. Wind and rain stopped play! We had a lovely meal and then visited a big shop in a near by village. This was the first year we had bad weather, it is normally brilliant sunshine :(

I am now watching the penultimate Harry Potter before seeing the last one tomorrow at the pictures. I never remember what has happened in the previous one so thought it would be a good idea to refresh my memory.

That's a lovely idea Tenmah, a sort of celebration of her life.

Lovely day so far today. Cut the grass, sorted the garage a bit, but first went out to a nature reserve for a few hours with my friend, her very polite toddler and her 6 week old who is just managing to smile.

Now going to walk and get a Euromillions ticket and then wax the other half of the balcony.

    Hi all!

Just wanted to poke my head in and say hi as this board has been a great boost when feeling low about how much money I owe.

Have just been reading the news about the £161m lottery winners. Should check I have my ticket for tonight - though it's only a paltry £13m today. Hardly worth bothering

Well aren't we the lucky ones. We got a parking ticket whilst watching Harry Potter :(

We thought we were safe with my daughter's blue badge were we had parked, but had misread the sign. A traffic warden came over to explain it to us and said I am not giving you a ticket, but what she didn't realise is one of her charming colleagues had already given us one - sigh! Oh well, she said we can appeal but I think it is unlikely they will let us off.

I enjoyed HP, but oh my goodness it was cold in the pictures. Spolit it a bit because I just wanted it to end even though I was enjoying it.

Hi CatchFazed, I think I'd be slightly more comfortable with £13m than £161m.

Shame about your ticket Tenmah. I'd be tempted to try an appeal anyway and maybe explain that another warden came to explain where you had gone wrong and used her discretion not to give you a ticket. Must be worth a try.

I don't know why cinema's reduce the heat after you've sat down. I noticed this. It's a pain - means you have to take a cardigan with you which seems surreal!!!
