Sorry to bump just wanted to say that i disagree that its ruude to correct someone when they have made an error. I would have thought that the person/persons would be greatful that someone had taken the time to notify them that there is an error.

As for the suggestion of pming the person rather than doing it here, i think thats totally ridiculous. I appreciate that people take alot of time and effort and they go out and buy the magazines papers etc but you dont own the competitions for goodness sake.

You should be greatful that someone actually takes the time to tell you about an error. I fail to see how its rude. I see it as being helpful myself. The behaviour on here at times regarding people being upset because someone corrected them on an error etc etc is ridiculous to be honest.

Of course, much easier to look helpful without the effort of doing the puzzles and frightfully MSE to look smug at someone else's expense without spending money:cool:

The mag comps are slightly different in my opinion - no, no one owns them but someone else's cash is expended to ensure they are made available and if you don't think it worth the politeness of a pm to let them know there is an error then I don't blame them if they wonder if it is worth the effort, especially when they are effectively decreasing their own odds;)

Just my opinion - although not offered humbly:D
