We bought the kids 14&12 each a silentnight divan with storage drawers 3 yrs ago. Not cheap each over £250 cushion top no-turn matteress. Within 8 months our sons mattress had sagged really badly on 1 side. The mattress had been topped and tailed on a monthly bases as recommended by silentnight. No problem as it was exchanged by homebase. Now our daughters bed has developed the same problem. was fine when I topped and tailed it about 6 weeks ago now it has sagged along one side. She is now rolling down hill as she sleeps! This bed has also developed a problem with the drawer runners on one side. Again it had been fine and now the drawer is dropping of the runners. Nothing heavy in the drawers just duvet sets and some sheets! I have all the paperwork. Silentnight beds have a 5 year warranty but on a sliding scale.
Should I return to Homebase and accept the fact i may have to contribute to a new bed. Or ask for an exchange under the SADFART rights. The beds have never been jumped on etc and are well cared for. Thanks

I bet the sagging is on the same spot of the mattress?

TV, playstation, x Box or similar in the room?

I'm guessing it's from excess sitting on the mattress, which is fair, wear and tear. Mattresses are designed to be lied on, not sat on for a long period of time. We have more complaints from children's products then any other.

So you may have trouble using SADFART rights because of the above.

Still give it a go what do you have to lose.

Yes they have TV etc DS sits on bean bag and DD in the middle of the bed. she only watches TV in bed doesn't use her consoles as she has severe learning disabilities. Mattress turned very regularly. And they know not to sit for long periods on the edge of the bed and understand why. they were not cheap beds unlike their previous beds/mattressess which took the normal abuse from little kids, trampoline, wetting etc. We waited to buy them better bed when those days where long gone. I would expect them to last longer than 3 yrs!
