How do I include a scanned copy in a post?

I need to be able to produce a scanned copy of a document for someone on another thread. I only know how to include URL links in posts, via the "insert link" option. Can someone advise, please? I checked out the "Help" guide and the following is listed, but the "manage attachments" button they refer to as being shown below the message box does not appear for me.
How do I attach a file to a post?
To attach a file to your post, you need to be using the main 'New Post' or 'New Thread' page and not 'Quick Reply'. To use the main 'New Post' page, click the 'Post Reply' button in the relevant thread.
On this page, below the message box, you will find a button labelled 'Manage Attachments'. Clicking this button will open a new window for uploading attachments. You can upload an attachment either from your computer or from another URL by using the appropriate box on this page. Alternatively you can click the Attachment Icon to open this page.
To upload a file from your computer, click the 'Browse' button and locate the file. To upload a file from another URL, enter the full URL for the file in the second box on this page. Once you have completed one of the boxes, click 'Upload'.
Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window. You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.

I can't see that "manage attachments" button either so maybe they have removed it.
You could scan your document as a JPG and upload it to http://tinypic.com/ . You could then link to it using the image link in your post.0 -
I've downloaded the JPEG and have been given the option of HTML for websites, IMG for forums, URL for email and Direct link for layouts. None of them work when I use the link. What do I do now?0

Can you post (just) the URL on here?Dave. :wave:0

Many thanks, I think I've sorted out my problem. The URL address given has IMG in brackets at the beginning and end of the address, so I've removed those and re-posted and it now appears to have worked. Thanks again

I couldn't get anything at all leaving them in. Why do you think that was?0 -
Use the image tags with your image URL - http://i51.tinypic.com/qo9kj8.jpg
and it will embed the image into your post. It will probably be huge though so just posting the link would be best.0
