An idiot smashed my car's side mirror and didn't stop. My car was parked outside my house at the time and I didn't even notice grrr.
Anyway, I have been quoted £180 for a new one by my Ford dealership. Sigh. Talk about bad timing, just before Christmas.
Do you think I am being ripped off? I have a Ford Focus.
Cheers!

Hello Van1971
I'll move your thread to the 'Motoring & Public Transport' board, where it should get more views and responses.
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. I'd have guessed about £20 from a local scrapyard, certainly not much more.0

Try http://www.panelmatch.co.uk/ - new colour coded door mirror for around £50 - excellent service & very helpful - web site still has problems but there's a contact phone no.0

If it's just the mirror glass that's smashed, then go to halfords. They do stick-on replacement mirror glass for less than a tenner.

Might also be worth having a look on Ebay.0

but I recently got a new one for a Rover 200 for £35. It wasn't in a Rover box, but was indistinguishable from the original. Fitting took less than half an hour, although being mechanical and unheated makes it easier.0

Yep scrap yard worth a try, try searching on https://www.yell.co.uk for ones in your area, also try local body repairs shops http://www.bodyshopwarehouse.co.uk/ or maybe on there.
I used these a lot when I had a Ford
