being threatened with court by ebay seller

the seller filed a non-payment claim on ebay against me which he won.If the seller is worried about fees, Telling them to open a closure dispute and accept and all fees are refunded.
Except insert fee maybe.
He will have had his fee's refunded as soon as he won the non paying bidder claim.
The only thing he could attempt to claim for is if he resold the van at a loss, there is a slim possibility he could claim the difference in the 2 prices, however, the fact that the Van was not as described should mean that even this isn't possible.
Sit back, don't worry. It's all hot air.0 -
Where did you get this legal advise from ?
I want to know where not to go if I need any in the future.0 -
Let him know that if he files a claim you will file a counter claim for the cost of a vehicle inspection.
This inspection is a professional cost which you are entitled to claim back (up to a couple of hundred quid) if you win the case (which you likely will if the RAC or AA report is not the same as his ebay description.)
At the moment he is throwing threats about which is free.
A small claim would cost him about £60 but losing your counterclaim would cost him over £260.
