Hi - just wanted some help. I'm trying to get my son's PC up and running again unfortunately we've lost the cable that connects the monitor to the pc. I managed to pick one up from a guy who works in IT at work. Unfortunately the cable has 10 pins at both ends, which if fine to connect to the pc but the monitor has a port with only 8/9 (I think) holes. Basically theres a compatibility issue going on....
Any suggestions ??

Does the cable look like this?
Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0 -
almost - but pins on both ends of the cable. The port at the back of the monitor (which is quite an old one) has only 9 (edit) holes.0

is it a matter of finding a cable with 9 pins on one end and 15 at the other OR get some sort of adpator OR bin the monitor and get a cheap new one???0

I'm sorry to keep going on with this but this would have been perfect
, if only it was the other way around i.e. female 15 pin and male 9 pin adapter.
