n power and lowry beck

I have been a customer of n power for 6 years. last year lowry beck changed my meter. I have submitted readings which n power have always disputed. I have a 6 digit meter with no red number or decimal point. They have told me to either drop the first or last digit (depending on who i speak to)
They have also read the meter and have only documented 4 digits. I submitted a 6 digit reading in march and Lowry beck came out to read the meter last week....They are saying i owe £1000 and want to put up my direct debit to over £200/month!
Has anyone else had similar problem?

Have you followed the supplier's official complaint procedure?

I would have thought a simple, clear photo of the meter and it's reading would quickly clarify the situation :)

Whether you ignore the first or last digit would have a huge impact on your bill. What on earth have NPower been thinking of,telling you to either ignore the first or last digit of the meter reading. It is not that unusual to find a 6 digit meter reading in a domestic home

    Hi swblonde,

Can I have a look at this for you as something is clearly amiss here?

Just send in your details to forumresponse@npower.com and I'll get onto it straight away for you if you like.

    Thanks
    Sally :)
