item not described cases

hi,

i sold an item a few weeks ago, out of the blue i get a message saying item not as described. this puzzled me as everything was spot on.

so reply to the buyer saying its exactly as they see it and what they up to, even notice the buyer has bought more of the same item since..

a case then opens up saying item not described and gives me 3 choices, refund, part refund, or other.

so i choose other and again say something is not right how did it takes weeks and weeks and why are htey still buying the same item if there not what they say they are.

now couple hours after the case opened its closed in the buyers favour, so now they have fully refunded him AND he still has my item..????

surely they should only refund AFTER the items been sent back ???

First of all wa sit an ebay or paypal dispute?

If ebay are you sure that ebay didn't refund - i.e did not recover the money from you.

hi it was ebay yes.. my paypal balance was in a minus before as they had held the funds(but they had been spent hence a minus balance) but just checked and now seems back to normal..

so does this mean they have paid it themselves?? will they chase me for the money still ?

    thanks

No they will not chase you for the money. Ebay have refunded as this is a 'no blame' claim (in their eyes).

If they were to find in favour of the buyer and take the money back from you then they would ask for the item to be returned to you.

wow.. what a weird thing.. the buyer must be happy as he gets the item free.. maybe thats why he was buying more and more of them.

    thanks for replying :)
