Congratulations Lynseydee!
I have been using the Avon spot stuff, including the pads and moisturiser and I am very impressed! I have had no major breakout at that time of the month which I have been getting bad ones on my chin area, but this month it's clear. Highly recommend it!0 -
Hi,, I'm new. I want to join as I've got LOADS of stuff just sat in drawers in my bedroom taking up space and not being used. I obviously want to start using more stuff and getting into a routine but where do I start? Definitely don't need anymore stuff apart from maybe some conditioner.0

Hiya! and welcome
First thing to do is to make a list of everything you've got - then you know exactly what you've got. Post it here if you want - it helps to know where you can always find it - and we do like a nosy at other people's stashes :rotfl: It's also good to see it reducing
As you are making your list seperate out anything that is already open and get using them up - it's also a good idea to be ruthless and chuck anything that's ancient and might have gone off - or that you just don't like. Once you're up and running you can join the FB swaps group to swap anything that you don't want to use but is in good condition
Have the things you want to use where you get at them easily - for example: I used to have my day-to-day stuff crammed in a drawer and it got too much to keep sorting through it every morning and evening so my routine went to pot - now I have all my cleansing/toning/face creams in one box (a mini S&G Hat Box for the nosy amongst you) on my bedside table and it's easy to get to and use twice daily.
Enjoy using them and feeling pampered ..... and saving money0 -
I have a UU! I've finally used the last of the Alberto balsam shampoo bought back in August 2008
. We now don't have any shampoo in stash so I had to dig out a hair and body wash. Have told everyone it's for hair only and have put it out of the way so they don't accidently use it on bodies. We have shower gel in abundance so we need to use this on hair unless it makes our hair awful. The shower gel is coming towards the end so if it does turn out awful I shall swap it and get the next one out of the drawer (I'm sure I had another hair and body thing- here's hoping!). Anyway, WIBA?: Yes, it's our HG of shampoos. Cheap and cheerful. Love the stuff and it doesn't weigh down my super fine hair.
Welcome newbies. Congratulations Lynseydee. Fingers crossed for hubbies job.
I've started knitting a baby blanket for my preemie nephew who arrived last week 8 weeks and 5 days early. I'm going to have to go out and buy a circular needle though tomorrow because I can barely fit the stitches onto my other needle and if I start dropping stitches, I'll have a breakdown!
Had a bit of an  moment today, got up at 2.30 and had some brunch before collecting kids. Rubbed my eye before I left the house. Knew I had got an eyelash init straight away but couldn't get it out. Cue an hour of agony culminating in me driving myself to the hospital (it was that or tear out my own eyeball ). Got parked, got out of the car, walked about 4 steps and it had gone! My word, the relief was unbelievable! Never known pain like that before. Not in my eye and it just went on and on. Poor kids, I was ranting and raving at them because I could barely see and was in so much pain. Then I dragged them to Asda because we were that side of town and I wasn't going to drive all that way again! Oh well, it's a bit gritty now but that's cause I'm getting ready to go to bed again and it's been through the mill a little bit. I have 2 nights off so am going to be hanging by the weekend, I hate split nights, I'm all over the place.Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -
Ouch! Just reading about that made me wince, Kaz! Glad it's fine now though.
Has anyone else received an email from feelunique about their new Beautybox scheme? For £9.95 a month you receive a monthly box of 5 'deluxe' samples to try. I have to admit I was very tempted - the samples in the display box (not representative I know!) were quite large and of some really nice bits. But a tenner a month is a lot for samples...0 -

One UU this morning:
Numark Nail Polish remover WIBA? probably, it's just a standard nail polish remover, don't remember where I got this one from. Need to buy another bottle today as have no more in my stash.
Also need to update my list today, have just found a box of Lush stuff in my cupboard! And also decided to include make up and nail polish in my list as well.0 -
Updated my list, cannot believe how much stuff I have! It's here0

I agree with all sarah*a's excellent advice my lovely. I definitely decided that these were the things I was going to use now until they were gone and these were going in a box labelled " already open - use next" in a visible location I couldn't forget about!:D
For my first potential Usey Uppys I picked things that were already low and close to using up, plus samples and mini sizes so that I'd have some UUs quickly and get into the swing of how it works. (It's weirdly motivating when you use something up!:D)
I find it easier with things like moisturisers and shower gel that you use every day and finish up eventually without really trying rather than stuff like masks and blushers that seem to go on for ever unless you specially target them for using up. (I do finish eyeliners quite regularly though and I have finished a couple of nail polishes and lip colours.)
And on that note:
UU Compeed cracked heels foot cream WIBA? This was a cheapie that I picked up in Savers and it was fine. I would buy it again at the price I paid which was much less than a comparable Flexitol or Scholl heel balm. I'm not excited about it in any way but it kept my feet nice. I'm going to try and do without foot creams for a while and just rely on my foot file and the many many many body creams I've got and see how I get on like that.
UU Gale Hayman LipLift WIBA? Yes I think that is inevitable. It's my favourite holy grail lip product. I've got a lot of moisturisng lip colours and one more of these still on the go so I'll try and hold out for a while.
I hope you're all having a brilliant day - with no more eyelash mishaps Kaz! (ouch )

Congratulations lynseedee, whatever happens try to enjoy every minute of your pregnancy, it is a very special time.
Welcome newbies.
Kaz - hope the eye is better, and big hugs to your nephew, hope he is getting on well.
I am feeling very down today, it is the last day of term and I always feel like this, another school year has passed and DS moves to year 1 next which feels like another big milestone. They are just growing up too quick for my liking. Anyway we have a fun day planned tomorrow, baking marbled cupcakes and doing a buttercream topping with pink glitter for the brownie leaders.
Have uu my first tube of the clinique moisture surge from the glam mag, I originally had 4 of these but sold two on ebay. WBA, really nice and light, no greasy after effects in the morning. Also finished a botanics after colour conditioner that comes with the hair dye, nice stuff and have a couple more in the stash. The devil makes works for idle hands0
