New to this

Hi

I am new to all this and I would like some advice.
I sent the Ombudsman form off to RBS regarding me claiming ppi on their credit card and they sent a letter back saying that they have refused it due to me ticking the ppi box, I don't remember requesting the credit card by post and I am sure it was done over the Internet.
I also did the same with capital One and they said that I actually rang and asked for the ppi to be put on, which I know I didn't. Could you please tell me where I go from here.
Also I took out a loan with my bank the Co-op way back in 98/99 and over the years kept increasing the limit, on 3 occassions I was told that I had to have the ppi included otherwise I wouldn't be able to have the loan or the increases, any ideas how I put this in writing, and do I need to change my bank account if I am complaining about the bank?
As much informatrion as possible would be really appreciative.

Thank you

Lucy

    Hi Lucy and welcome

Hopefully someone will be along soon to give some advice on this one, but I note you say ombudsman, but otherwise if this was rejected by the first adudicator stage then you normally get the opportunity to have your case reviewed by the ombudsman.

    Or is this the review?

Ask them to send you a copy as proof and see what they provide.

Ask them to provide a recording of the call.

Pretty much as you've typed there. If it helps, write the information down on a piece of paper first, so you can check that it makes sense before copying it onto the form. It might actually be easier to write a letter instead, simply stating the facts as you remember them.
and do I need to change my bank account if I am complaining about the bank?
No, but remember that if you do get any refund or compensation they might simply deduct it from anything you owe them.

    Hope this helps :)
