the bit in bold is in ref to a past poster who "claimed" that tesco weren't giving out the itemised receipts unless you paid 50p for 1, it caused alot of problems and i think the poster was found out to be telling a few porkies(a troll) so dont worry its not real.

I don't understand what happened. You can have up to ten card on an account - over time they can mount up.
Some people whether by accident or design may have several accounts.

    What should have happened:
'Oh you've lost your card have you, sorry to here that. Can I have your surname please, and your postcode - thankyou.
Ah I can see you have more than one account in the system, I'll look at the one with the most points - would you like me to link them together?
Right I've got your details, could you just confirm the first line of the address please - thank you.
Have you picked up a temporary card from the store?'
If yes - 'Could I have the card no please the one by the bar code - thank you, right I've linked them together, you should get a replacement in the next two or three weeks, in the meantime please continue to use the temporary card, thank you'.
If no - 'Okay, I'll organise anothe set of cards for you, we're trying to get it down to ten days, but it may take two - three weeks, so what you could do is pick up a temporary card to use while you're waiting, and when the new one comes, give us a ring and we'll link them both together'.

What part of that didn't you get? Do you know who you spoke to?
I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard

The easiest solution to the problem of a lost Tesco Clubcard is to shop at Lidl.

We rarely use our Tesco Clubcard at all now; we just drove past the store this morning with its "spend £50, get 5p off a litre of petrol or diesel" and shopped for the same items at Lidl (including wine) -- and saved a darn sight more money to put towards our fuel costs than a mere 5p a litre.

Still, if you're that set on having a Tesco Clubcard, you can have ours. :)
  • This is the same tesco lots of you praised for introducing welsh at its checkouts, i told you then that tesco dont do anything unless its for the benefit of tesco.

Does anyone need to be told this?
They are in business to make money, not set up to do social work.

Same as ALL the other supermarkets!
