corel x5 vector problem

hi

im trying to produce a vector image file, of a teams football badge so it can be engraved on some cups

ive managed to take the badge off its original image

cut it out,clean it up
ten save it to a png file?

when i export the file to the engraver it loads it with the back ground as well, ie i get a badge but on a piece of A4 paper not just the badge.

any idea how i can save just the badge or logo without the back ground
