Is it just me?? Ampersand overload

I don't know if it's just the way my browser is set up (although it doesn't happen on any other sites), but whenever I read a post in which someone has written (for example), a single quote, it appears in the post as an ampersand followed by the letters quot. Similar thing for ampersands, and probably other symbols as well. It can make some posts quite difficult to read!

Does anybody else have this problem -- and even better, a solution?

I have this problem also. Unfortunately don't know how to get rid of it!

Same here but I don't use the & symbol and only use the single quote as in 'and' instead of "&"

I see it a lot in old posts that were imported from the old forum. I'm assuming it's something to do with the board not being able to display the old font properly and just displaying the code instead

Don't know why it would show up in recent posts. Maybe if someone pastes something in from another document and the board can't display that font? Or you're computer can't display a font that the board is trying to use

It does seem to be the old posts too, rather than a computer thing. Just makes for strange reading sometimes
