Santander is another bank which do not charge for receiving international payments. @andyroid - can you tell me a bit more about how you set up an account with Northern Bank in NI?

I'm moving to Dublin (from Glasgow) soon to start a new job but I'll need to send money home each month. I was attracted to the no-cross border fees policy of Nothern Bank/National Irish Bank as subsidiaries of Danske Bank; however, it seems from the Northern Bank website that you have to be resident in NI to open a current account with them (including the Northern Choice account). Obviously I won't be resident in NI, so I'd be grateful for any help you can give!
