Redundancy - it's all new to me & a bit scary

Hello all and thanks to anyone that can offer a little advice.
A brief summary is as follows:-
I am employed by company "X" as a Contract Manager providing a service to a single client "Y". I have been with the company for a little over 12 years and have been Contract Manager for this particular client for 6 months. I am on a 6 months notice period and am paid a salary of approx £32000pa with an additional £4800pa car allowance. I was informed today that client Y is serving notice on the contract due to financial cutbacks.
My queries are:-
a) What redundancy payment should I be expecting?
b) Is my car allowance part of the redundancy payment
c) Is client Y liable for my redundancy or is it my own company.
d) My contract states that I am on a 6 months notice period so I presume that this needs to be legally paid at my normal salary with my car allowance wether I am required to work my notice or not.
Thanks very much for taking time to look at this. I may post more questions as more details come to light.

You are jumping the gun. Just because the contract is ending does not mean you will be made redundant at all. Your employer will be required to consdier all potential aspects of a redundancy process, incluidng whether other people should be put at risk and whether there is suitable alternative employment available.0

As SarEl says, you are properly jumping the gun - you haven't even been told you're at risk of redundancy yet!
If you're made redundant, then you'd get the higher of: statutory redundancy pay, whatever your contract says you'll get if you're made redundant, and whatever non-contractual benefits your employer decides to give you (you'll know better than us whether yours is that type of employer).
I don't know about the car.
Client Y has nothing to do with it; you are employed by Company X. I'm a client of Tesco - I buy stuff from them - but if I and my whole town suddenly decide to do all our shopping in Asda I'm not liable for the Tesco staff's redundancy pay.
If your employer doesn't honour your notice period, they'll be in breach of contract. Again, you know more than we do about the character and solvency of your employer and how likely they are to go breaching contracts.0 -

What - no advertisement for your company? Your posts have been reported.0 -
Thanks for all of your replies.
I maybe should have mentioned that the contract is on an open book basis and the client covers all costs including redundancy payments to staff. They have confirmed an exit date and I am meeting with them on Friday for further details.0
