cheapest place to buy batteries for christmas toys ?

hi.. just in the middle of wrapping the kids presents....

and i have realised... BATTERIES.......i am going to need a bucket full of AA and C size batteries.....

so has anyone seen these batteries on offer..or any good deals......

not the real cheap brands that last for all of 2 seconds... but the good ones.....

last year we ended up going to the local shop on christmas day :mad: and paid a fortune:eek: and we were not alone... a person in front of us was buying batteries too

I think it works out cheaper in the long run to use rechargerable batteries.

Toys-r-us usually do large pack of batteries relatively cheaply (by the tills).

Apart from that I can't think of anywhere that's particularly cheap.

Wilko's are doing buy one get one free on their own brand batteries, all sizes.
Toys r us do a huge pack quite cheap.

i know you said not cheap but the poundshop have packs of hyundai 18 aa batteries for £1 (obviously!) lol aaa ones in packs of 18 too and all the other sizes too.. I have never had a problem with these batteries not lasting long.. seem just as good as any other batteries!

Ok this ain't cheap but i bought them all the same in Woolworths yesterday i got a pack of Duracell 4pack + 4 free AA batteries for £3.74 or £3.79 can't remember which.

Also i was talking to my friend about getting batteries sorted for the kids toys and she said try Morrison's own brand, about 69p not sure how many that's for but said she always uses them and they do last a long time. Might be worth a look.

I got 16 in Woolies today for £2 (AA)

They should be £4, but if you buy anything else at all, you get them for £2.

I don't need them but thought at that price they were too good to miss
