Hi there. I have just acquired a glass topped dinign table and don't want it to get scratched so need to buy a table cover. I'm not too keen on them as I think they look a bit old fashioned. Does anyone know anywhere I can buy a funky one that's reasonably priced and that won't date my kitchen?
Many thanks!

You could always try looking in the charity shops for quilt covers or curtains and then just cut them to size and either sew a hem or use that iron on stuff ( wonder web it used to be called ), you might get something funky and cheap, you could use the rest of the material to do napkins cushion covers any thing really. Hope this helps a bit. :jNever play with your Bellybutton your Bum could fall off.:rotfl:0

Dunelm Mill have a selection of funky pvc fabric for tablecloths costing £2.99 each available.
It is worth looking around in local shops. I managed to buy some 1950's Marilyn Monroe print pvc fabric and some New York yellow taxi design which was really good. I used the fabrics to make shopping bags, but they would make great table coverings too.
Ebay also does a selection of different designs (search pvc tablecloth, pvc fabric or oilcloth). I don't think they are necessarily the cheapest, but the selection is good. Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!

I got a brightly coloured oilcloth from ebay. It's great with the bairns as I can just wipe spills off it, rather than having to wash a fabric table cloth every day. Here I go again on my own....0

It can take quite a lot to scratch a glass table and they look really nice when they sparkle - are you really sure you'd want to cover it up with a tablecloth? I wouldn't waste my money on one......0
